SUMMARY:MyTime Forest Hill – Carers Week Class in Chinese Cooking
DESCRIPTION:Chinese Cooking Class attendees will participate in a hands-on cooking workshop where they will learn to prepare traditional Chinese dishes under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Participants will explore Chinese culinary traditions\, cooking techniques and flavours while creating and enjoying their dishes together. The activity promotes cultural learning\, creativity\, social connection and confidence in the kitchen. \nThis event is free to attend and morning tea is provided. Preschool aged children (0-6 years) are welcome. While you join the session\, a MyTime play leader will engage your children in meaningful play nearby. \nMyTime is a peer support program for parents and carers of children with disabilities\, developmental delays or chronic medical conditions. It offers connection\, support\, and resources in a safe and welcoming space. \nEligibility: Open to parents and carers of children up to 18 years of age with disability\, developmental delay or chronic medical conditions.

DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers.
