We would like to invite new mental health and or substance use carers into the centre and look forward to celebrating and supporting their caring roles. \nTo register for this event please call 1800 962 008 or email Grampiansmhwconnect@mindaustralia.org.au to speak with a Peer Practitioner who will assist you in registering. \nThe Grampians Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre is a Department of Health funded service that supports families\, carers\, and supporters of people with mental health and substance use challenges. Support is given from a family and carer peer support perspective. All staff who work at the Centre have family carer lived experience.  This support happens in the drop in Connect Centre\, over the phone\, in carer peer support groups\, and through information sessions.

DESCRIPTION:The Manager Is Me is a funny\, moving solo theatre work about the invisible labour of caring\, parenting\, working and somehow trying to hold onto yourself in the middle of it all. \nWritten and performed by 2025 Victorian Australian Poetry Slam Champion Dayna Fallon\, the show draws on her own experience of caring for her husband through complex health issues while raising three young children and working. \nThrough comedy\, spoken word and theatre\, The Manager Is Me shines a light on the emotional and practical work carers do every day — often quietly\, often behind closed doors\, and often without even thinking of themselves as carers. \nIt is a show about being the person everyone relies on\, making people laugh when things are falling apart\, and what happens when the person doing all the caring finally needs care too. \nFunny first\, but with real emotional weight underneath\, The Manager Is Me aims to help carers feel seen and to encourage audiences to recognise the caring work happening around them every day. \nPerforming at The Salon\, The Motley Wherehaus\, as part of Melbourne Fringe 2026.
