Valley Carers

Valley Carers is a support group based in Moonee Valley for people who are caring for a family member or friend with a disability, medical condition, chronic illness, or ageing. We all have lived experience of the caring role, and understand the challenges and stress, and even the loneliness it may cause. We offer social activities to bring a little sparkle to your day. The events enable information sharing, and most importantly, friendship. If you live, work or play in Moonee Valley, we’d love to hear from you!

Frequently asked questions

What activities does the group undertake throughout the year?

We offer a monthly fun, social activity. The types of activities vary, and they held at different venues, on different days and times. We vary the types of events to ensure they have wide appeal.

Also, when activities are held at the same time on the same days, it precludes some people from attending. By varying the times and locations, we hope to make the group more inclusive.

We keep the costs low, but we ask for a small contribution towards the cost of the activity. The cost is either $10 or $25, depending on the cost of the activity.
